BSO-Azad Accuses Pakistani State of Forcibly Displacing Baloch Communities, Citing Recent Evictions

The Baloch Students Organization-Azad (BSO-Azad) has accused Pakistani authorities of forcibly displacing communities across Balochistan. In a statement issued by spokesperson Shoolan Baloch, the group cited the recent displacement of residents from the old Sardasht settlement in the Kulanch area of Pasni.

According to the statement, residents of Sardasht and nearby communities were threatened and harassed, disrupting their daily lives. It also alleged that some people experienced violence before being forced to leave.

He said displacement has affected parts of Balochistan for years, including Kohlu, Bolan and Dera Bugti. It also named Awaran, Mashkay, Balgatar, Dasht, Panjgur, Zamuran, Mastung, Noshki and Kalat among areas affected.

The statement further alleged that residents of Khad Kocha in Mastung were threatened and pressured to leave this year, while attempts were made to empty several areas of Kalat. It also said people had been forced from Nushki and other locations, causing severe psychological distress among Baloch communities.

Shoolan Baloch accused the Pakistani military of bombing civilian areas, harassing and torturing residents, and displacing people from their homes.
