BLA reveals identities of nine fighters killed during July engagements
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has disclosed the names and details of nine fighters it claims were killed in separate clashes with Pakistani forces across Balochistan in July.
According to a statement issued by its media wing, Hakkal, the BLA reported that these fighters lost their lives in various locations including Khuzdar, Surab, Turbat, and near Quetta, between July 10 and July 30.
The fighters are identified as Shoaib Umrani alias Gurk, Abdul Quddos Qambarani alias Sikander, Waheed Ishaque alias Bahot, Mohammad Raheem Langove alias Asfand, Shakir Rehman Sasoli alias Ashraf, Qadeer Baloch alias Saud Dost, Maqsood alias Bebagr, Mir Alam Kiyazai alias Salman, and Noor Ahmed Sumalani alias Notak.
The BLA detailed that Shoaib Umrani and Abdul Quddos Qambarani were killed in Zidi, Khuzdar, on July 10.
Three others, Waheed Ishaque, Mohammad Raheem Langove, and Shakir Rehman Sasoli, were killed during clashes in Naghar, Surab, on July 15.
Qadeer Baloch and Maqsood were killed during an operation in Turbat on July 28.
On July 30, Mir Alam Kiyazai and Noor Ahmed Sumalani were killed during coordinated attacks on Pakistani military camps in Wali Thangi and Spin Karez, near Quetta.
The BLA provided additional details about each fighter:
- Shoaib Umrani, 21, from Baghbana in Khuzdar, joined the BLA in 2025, operating on the Kalat and Khuzdar fronts after completing basic military training. He participated in several operations against Pakistani forces.
- Abdul Quddos Qambarani, from Mohalla Khel in Kalat, was studying veterinary medicine at Lasbela University. He joined in August 2025 and operated on Nagaho, Kalat, and Khuzdar fronts, taking part in “Operation Herof II” and other attacks. He was killed in Zidi while defending fellow fighters.
- Waheed Ishaque, from Chashma in Zehri tehsil of Khuzdar, joined in 2024 and moved to the mountain front in July 2025. He was involved in armed operations, highway blockades, and logistical management, and was killed during a confrontation with Pakistani forces in Naghar.
- Mohammad Raheem Langove, from Kalat, joined in 2026, where he received physical and military training and operated on the Kalat front.
- Shakir Rehman Sasoli, from Killi Dato in Mastung, joined in 2026, trained militarily, and participated in several operations. He was known for battlefield coordination and was killed after inflicting casualties on Pakistani forces in Naghar.
Regarding the two fighters killed near Quetta:
- Qadeer Baloch, from Gomazi in Tump, Kech, used the pen name Saud Sobain and was involved in the movement since 2013. He officially joined the BLA in August 2023, working on the Kulbar, Mazanband, and Zamuran fronts, combining battlefield experience with new military tactics.
- Maqsood, from Talokan in Tump, joined in 2023 and operated on the Kulbar front. He completed military training, participated in numerous operations, and was responsible for community outreach to promote the group’s political goals. He was killed during an operation in Turbat aimed at dismantling an intelligence network.
The two fighters killed in the attack on July 30 near Quetta were:
- Mir Alam Kiyazai, 27, from Barwary, Quetta, who held a degree in economics from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. He joined the urban network in 2019, later moved to the mountain front in 2023, and played roles in planning, attack execution, administration, and training. He was appointed as a camp commander overseeing fighters and operations.
- Noor Ahmed Sumalani, from Pir Ismail in Narowari, joined the BLA in 2018, after his brother Mohammad Jan alias Lela was killed earlier. Noor Ahmed was active for about eight years, participating in armed operations and contributing to the group’s recruitment and operational capacity.
The BLA paid tribute to these nine fighters, emphasizing that their sacrifices would be remembered as a significant part of Baloch national history.
