According to local sources, Allah Bakhsh, son of Basham, was detained during a raid in Karachi’s Maripur area late Sunday night. He has disabilities affecting both legs and has been associated with the Tekkri Education Centre for the past decade, where he is currently the head of the institution.

Sources reported that Sindh Rangers raided his home around 4:00 am and took him into custody, releasing him shortly after. However, he was detained again about an hour later, after which his family and colleagues lost contact with him.

The Human Rights Council of Balochistan (HRCB) issued a statement confirming that Allah Bakhsh Basham was forcibly disappeared from Tekkri village, Maripur. They emphasized that he had been providing free education through the Tekkri Education Centre to children who otherwise could not afford schooling.

The HRCB called on the Pakistani government to immediately disclose his whereabouts and produce him in court if any allegations exist against him. They condemned enforced disappearance as a grave crime that devastates families and communities, instilling lasting fear, trauma, and suffering.

In a separate incident, Shehbaz, son of Haji Khan Mohammad, was reportedly forcibly disappeared from Tasp area of Panjgur district. His family said Pakistani forces surrounded their home around midnight on Sunday, conducted a search, and took Shehbaz away to an undisclosed location. No information has been provided regarding the reason for his detention or his current whereabouts. The family has demanded his immediate presentation before a court if any charges are pending against him.

Meanwhile, the VBMP protest camp outside the Quetta Press Club marked its 6,314th day on Sunday. Jumma Khan Nechari attended the camp, submitting details about the enforced disappearance of his wife, Bibi Rafia, daughter Tania, and granddaughter Javeria.

VBMP Chairman Nasrullah Baloch assured him that their cases would be presented the following Monday before the missing persons commission, the Balochistan government, and the deputy registrar of the commission’s Balochistan chapter. He emphasized that the VBMP would continue raising its voice for their safe recovery through all legal and constitutional channels.

Nasrullah Baloch urged Pakistani authorities to ensure the immediate recovery of all forcibly disappeared women, including Bibi Rafia, Tania, and Javeria. He insisted that if any allegations exist against them, they should be produced before a court in accordance with the law. The VBMP leader warned that protests would escalate if enforced disappearances of Baloch women persist.
